MA, RCC, SEP

Welcome! Whether you’re looking to heal from anxiety or trauma, have healthier relationships, end patterns of people pleasing, develop a clearer sense of self, or just have a safe space to work through life’s challenges as they come up, I’m glad you have found your way here on your journey of finding the supports you need.

The therapy space with me is a place to slow down, tune in, and practice paying attention to your inner landscape and body experience in the here and now. I approach my work from a somatic lens, which means we are inviting your body’s information and unique sense of knowing to come into our awareness and be a part of the process of healing. As we practice this, we begin to build a relationship of trust and understanding between mind and body, creating new neural pathways that allow us to expand our capacity to be with the fullness of life, with all its ups and downs, twists and turns. We cultivate more presence, more groundedness, more creativity, and ultimately more joy.

Our work can include looking at your relationship patterns, especially with early caregivers, and getting clearer on how your nervous system developed in that environment, and what that means for how you show up in your life and relate to others today. Most of us have developed specific ways of being in the world in response to our early life experiences. Some of these ways of being can include patterns of responding to stress and limiting beliefs that can interfere with us being our full and true selves. We will start by cultivating compassion for why these patterns are here, and how they helped you to survive, while also uncovering inner strengths that help to gently and sustainably shift them as you become the caretaker of your own nervous system.

In our work together, we will collaborate on an approach that is flexible, and suits your individual, and ever-evolving needs. I will draw on my experience from training in neurologically-based methods such as Somatic Experiencing, Expressive Arts Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, and Attachment-Focused EMDR.

My practice is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent capacity to heal and grow, and that you are the expert in your own life. My goal is to provide a safe and inclusive environment for you to express yourself, and explore your own unique process of growth. I look forward to connecting with you!
